Putting caregivers at the centre: From psychological burden to integrated support
At the 9th “Caring for Caregivers” event in Thessaloniki, Kapa3 highlighted the need to recognise caregivers as care recipients in their own right.
Thessaloniki, 11 September 2026
In Thessaloniki, Kapa3 contributed with the presentation “Caregiver Burden in Cancer: The Psychological Dimension of Care and the Need for Integrated Psychosocial Support,” delivered by Evangeli Bista and Marilia Barka.
We highlighted the psychological and psychosocial burden of caregiving and the need to recognise caregivers as care recipients in their own right, with access to reliable information, guidance and integrated support.
We also introduced MYRTO, Kapa3’s digital assistant, as an accessible first point of information that complements human support and personalised navigation.
