This allowance applies to pensioners with severe disabilities or serious mobility impairments who require continuous assistance and supervision from another person, following disability certification by the KEPAs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"600\" data-end=\"814\">The year 2026 features increases and retroactive payments in EFKA allowances, including disability benefits, aiming to strengthen support for vulnerable pensioners and reduce financial difficulties in daily life. This adjustment reflects the ongoing commitment to support pensioners with increased care needs.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"841\"><strong data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"839\">Eligible Pensioners<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"843\" data-end=\"1070\">\n<li data-section-id=\"ufc0oe\" data-start=\"843\" data-end=\"948\">\n<p data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"948\">Pensioners with a disability rate above 67%, for whom continuous care by another person is certified.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"fg528w\" data-start=\"949\" data-end=\"978\">\n<p data-start=\"951\" data-end=\"978\">Blind elderly pensioners.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1mp5ciy\" data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1070\">\n<p data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"1070\">Survivors\u2019 pensioners, provided the deceased had their first insurance before 1\/1\/1993.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1072\" data-end=\"1101\"><strong data-start=\"1072\" data-end=\"1099\">Amounts and Supplements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1103\" data-end=\"1439\">\n<li data-section-id=\"11393pi\" data-start=\"1103\" data-end=\"1199\">\n<p data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1199\">For those insured before 1\/1\/1993, the supplement reaches 50% of the pension, up to \u20ac671.40.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"upoty7\" data-start=\"1200\" data-end=\"1267\">\n<p data-start=\"1202\" data-end=\"1267\">For those insured from 1\/1\/1993 onwards, the amount is \u20ac173.34.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"15a2vpv\" data-start=\"1268\" data-end=\"1362\">\n<p data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1362\">Employees may also receive an extra-institutional allowance, with a total maximum of \u20ac846.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"qb939r\" data-start=\"1363\" data-end=\"1439\">\n<p data-start=\"1365\" data-end=\"1439\">At a social assistance level, the amount can reach up to \u20ac380 per month.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1441\" data-end=\"1731\">For public sector pensioners, the corresponding supplement is calculated at 2.5% to 4.5% of the basic lieutenant salary, depending on the degree of incapacity, and in cases of 80% or higher incapacity, the amount increases by 50%. The allowance is tax-free and protected from garnishment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1733\" data-end=\"1966\"><strong data-start=\"1733\" data-end=\"1752\">Important Note:<\/strong> The official decision on the adjustment is expected to be published in the Government Gazette in the coming days.
