Through<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kapa3.gr\/en\/knowledge-seminar-megara-prevention-life\/\"> awareness actions<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kapa3.gr\/en\/holistic-cancer-care-successful-webinar-on-cancer-patient-navigation-amp-health-management\/\">public engagement<\/a>, we reaffirmed our commitment to strengthening patients\u2019 voices and improving their everyday reality.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"611\" data-end=\"856\">Throughout its journey, <strong data-start=\"635\" data-end=\"644\">Kapa3<\/strong> has consistently demonstrated its dedication to supporting oncology patients by bridging gaps in information, accessibility, and social care. Building on this experience, we are now taking the next step forward.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"863\" data-end=\"1389\"><strong data-start=\"863\" data-end=\"1088\">After five years <\/strong>of continuous presence in empowering oncology patients through digital guidance<strong data-start=\"863\" data-end=\"1088\">, Kapa3 is expanding its footprint in the field of social accessibility by creating an innovative digital assistant: \u201cMyrto.\u201d<\/strong><br data-start=\"1088\" data-end=\"1091\" \/>\u201cMyrto\u201d addresses the phenomenon of <strong data-start=\"1127\" data-end=\"1161\">second-level digital exclusion<\/strong>, transforming digital information into a <strong data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1251\">human, accessible, and meaningful experience<\/strong>. It represents the <strong data-start=\"1271\" data-end=\"1386\">first Social Artificial Intelligence application in the field of social welfare for oncology patients in Greece<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1391\" data-end=\"1569\">It goes beyond providing information: <strong data-start=\"1429\" data-end=\"1497\">it converses, guides, and evolves according to users\u2019 real needs<\/strong>, with an emphasis on both <strong data-start=\"1524\" data-end=\"1566\">accessibility and psychosocial support<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1571\" data-end=\"1801\">Our aim is to <strong data-start=\"1585\" data-end=\"1657\">develop a fully functional chatbot integrated into the Kapa3 website<\/strong>, to <strong data-start=\"1662\" data-end=\"1726\">train social workers and healthcare professionals in its use<\/strong>, and to <strong data-start=\"1735\" data-end=\"1800\">substantially reduce the digital divide for vulnerable groups<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1808\" data-end=\"1955\"><strong data-start=\"1808\" data-end=\"1955\">\u201cMyrto\u201d will offer holistic and personalized guidance to oncology patients as a true Patient Empowerment e-Navigator, through two main pillars:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1957\" data-end=\"2246\">\n<li data-start=\"1957\" data-end=\"2159\">\n<p data-start=\"1959\" data-end=\"2159\"><strong data-start=\"1959\" data-end=\"1980\">Patient Advocate:<\/strong> Support with legal and administrative procedures (benefits, patient rights), facilitation of access to social welfare services, and guidance within the local healthcare system.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2160\" data-end=\"2246\">\n<p data-start=\"2162\" data-end=\"2246\"><strong data-start=\"2162\" data-end=\"2183\">Health Navigator:<\/strong> Provision of essential information for health self-management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2248\" data-end=\"2482\">At the same time, the platform will <strong data-start=\"2284\" data-end=\"2309\">enhance communication<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2311\" data-end=\"2354\">highlight available community resources<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"2360\" data-end=\"2421\">incorporate an innovative health literacy assessment tool<\/strong>, enabling <strong data-start=\"2432\" data-end=\"2481\">full personalization of the services provided<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2489\" data-end=\"2730\">The project will be <strong data-start=\"2509\" data-end=\"2545\">developed, tested, and validated<\/strong> by oncology patients as well as by <strong data-start=\"2581\" data-end=\"2684\">social workers, legal and financial experts, and consultants in health communication and psychology<\/strong>, both <strong data-start=\"2691\" data-end=\"2729\">in person and online across Greece<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2732\" data-end=\"2934\"><strong data-start=\"2732\" data-end=\"2852\">Your participation could substantially contribute to co-creating a personalized Navigator for every oncology patient<\/strong>, as a <strong data-start=\"2859\" data-end=\"2933\">multidisciplinary perspective is a key factor in the project\u2019s success<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2936\" data-end=\"3198\">Upon completion, we expect <strong data-start=\"2963\" data-end=\"3016\">significant social, health, and scientific impact<\/strong>: improved patient quality of life, strengthened self-management, reduced resource requirements, and the creation of a <strong data-start=\"3135\" data-end=\"3197\">network of experts
