Kapa3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"1422\" data-end=\"1726\">On the occasion of World Cancer Day (4 February), the <strong>Municipality of Megara and the Cancer Patient Navigation Center \u2013 Kapa3<\/strong> are organizing the knowledge-focused event <strong>\u201cCancer: From Prevention to Life Coordination\u201d on Sunday, 8 February 2026, at 18:00,<\/strong> at the Municipal Council Hall of Megara City Hall.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1728\" data-end=\"1974\">The event aims to highlight that addressing cancer is not limited to medical treatment alone, but requires holistic care, proper guidance, and coordinated services, placing the individual, their family, and their social environment at the center.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1976\" data-end=\"2336\">The objective of the initiative is to emphasize the role of a Health Navigator in cancer management and to underline the importance of interdisciplinarity in oncology care, bringing together the expertise of physicians, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, as well as civil society organizations such as Kapa3, which support patients and caregivers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2338\" data-end=\"2380\">The event features the following speakers:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2381\" data-end=\"3316\">\n<li data-start=\"2381\" data-end=\"2472\">\n<p data-start=\"2383\" data-end=\"2472\"><strong data-start=\"2383\" data-end=\"2402\">Georgios Nintos<\/strong>, Medical Oncologist, MD MSc \u2013 Cancer prevention and early diagnosis<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2473\" data-end=\"2591\">\n<p data-start=\"2475\" data-end=\"2591\"><strong data-start=\"2475\" data-end=\"2504\">Katerina Papakonstantinou<\/strong>, Obstetrician\u2013Gynecologist Surgeon, MD MSc PhD \u2013 Prevention and gynecological cancer<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2592\" data-end=\"2731\">\n<p data-start=\"2594\" data-end=\"2731\"><strong data-start=\"2594\" data-end=\"2616\">Rojas Andrea Paola<\/strong>, Associate Professor of Biology, Department of Nursing, University of the Peloponnese \u2013 Nutrition and prevention<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2732\" data-end=\"2885\">\n<p data-start=\"2734\" data-end=\"2885\"><strong data-start=\"2734\" data-end=\"2753\">Maria Lavdaniti<\/strong>, Professor and Head of the Department of Nursing, International University \u2013 The role of oncology nursing in holistic cancer care<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2886\" data-end=\"3021\">\n<p data-start=\"2888\" data-end=\"3021\"><strong data-start=\"2888\" data-end=\"2909\">Penelope Vlotinou<\/strong>, Professor of Occupational Therapy, University of West Attica \u2013 Occupational therapy and patients\u2019 daily life<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3022\" data-end=\"3175\">\n<p data-start=\"3024\" data-end=\"3175\"><strong data-start=\"3024\" data-end=\"3041\">Ioanna Sideri<\/strong>, Psychologist MSc, PhD(c), Department of Nursing, University of the Peloponnese \u2013 Psychological support for patients and caregivers<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3176\" data-end=\"3316\">\n<p data-start=\"3178\" data-end=\"3316\"><strong data-start=\"3178\" data-end=\"3204\">Grigoria Zacharogianni<\/strong>, Radiation Oncologist, MD MSc PhD, University of West Attica \u2013 Therapeutic options from diagnosis to recovery<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3318\" data-end=\"3512\">The event is part of Kapa3\u2019s ongoing presence in Megara and its constructive cooperation with the Municipality, as reflected in the operation of the Cancer Patient Navigation Counseling Station.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3514\" data-end=\"3685\">It is another opportunity to highlight community-based efforts supporting cancer patients and their families, strengthening awareness, prevention, and meaningful guidance.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3687\" data-end=\"4038\"><strong>Participation is open<\/strong> to health professionals, patients, relatives, and all interested citizens.<br data-start=\"3783\" data-end=\"3786\" \/>It is our great honor to welcome everyone who wishes to learn more about cancer care and holistic management and to take part in a dialogue of knowledge and solidarity, because only together can we build a more inclusive and supportive society for all.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3687\" data-end=\"4038\">\n<p data-start=\"3687\" data-end=\"4038\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the occasion of World Cancer Day (4 February), the Municipality of Megara and the Cancer Patient Navigation Center \u2013 Kapa3 are organizing the knowledge-focused event \u201cCancer: From Prevention to &hellip;
