The event was held in a <strong data-start=\"450\" data-end=\"467\">hybrid format<\/strong> (in-person and online participation), bringing together <strong data-start=\"524\" data-end=\"599\">health professionals, researchers, policymakers and technology partners<\/strong> from Greece and abroad.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22217\" data-end=\"742\">management and use of health data<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"744\" data-end=\"770\">digital transformation<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"794\">best practices<\/strong> for leveraging data to strengthen the country\u2019s <strong data-start=\"843\" data-end=\"871\">digital health ecosystem<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"874\" data-end=\"900\">Among the speakers were:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"901\" data-end=\"1166\">\n<li data-start=\"901\" data-end=\"959\">\n<p data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"959\"><strong data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"932\">Dr Athanasios Batagiannis<\/strong>, General Director, 3-psi<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"960\" data-end=\"1036\">\n<p data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"1036\"><strong data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"984\">Georgios Dimitriou<\/strong>, Cluster Manager, Hellenic Digital Health Cluster<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1118\">\n<p data-start=\"1039\" data-end=\"1118\"><strong data-start=\"1039\" data-end=\"1064\">Dr Ioannis Koumpouros<\/strong>, Director of DigInHealth, University of West Attica<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1166\">\n<p data-start=\"1121\" data-end=\"1166\"><strong data-start=\"1121\" data-end=\"1140\">Elpida Fotiadou<\/strong>, Head of eHealth, IDIKA<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1168\" data-end=\"1645\">With the contribution of the distinguished speakers, <strong data-start=\"1221\" data-end=\"1235\">key issues<\/strong> were discussed, including <strong data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1297\">infrastructure interoperability<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1303\" data-end=\"1329\">need for reliable data<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1331\" data-end=\"1356\">bureaucratic barriers<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1358\" data-end=\"1386\">gaps in digital literacy<\/strong>, the development of <strong data-start=\"1407\" data-end=\"1442\">focused platforms and processes<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1444\" data-end=\"1489\">faster care pathways and needs assessment<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"1495\" data-end=\"1537\">reduction of information fragmentation<\/strong>, and the development of <strong data-start=\"1562\" data-end=\"1597\">human-centred digital solutions<\/strong> with <strong data-start=\"1707\" data-end=\"1734\">standardised procedures<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1736\" data-end=\"1764\">data quality improvement<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1766\" data-end=\"1789\">interdisciplinarity<\/strong>, and the use of <strong data-start=\"1806\" data-end=\"1823\">digital tools<\/strong> to support <strong data-start=\"1835\" data-end=\"1864\">people living with cancer<\/strong>, as well as on <strong data-start=\"1880\" data-end=\"1944\">guidance, interaction, empowerment and patient participation<\/strong> in data utilisation processes. At every step, <strong data-start=\"1991\" data-end=\"2025\">KAPA3 addresses key challenges<\/strong> such as <strong data-start=\"2034\" data-end=\"2056\">data fragmentation<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2058\" data-end=\"2087\">stakeholder collaboration<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2092\" data-end=\"2127\">human-centred digital solutions<\/strong>\u2014issues that are also summarised in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kapa3.gr\/en\/e-health4cancer\/\"><strong data-start=\"2167\" data-end=\"2191\">Good Practices Guide<\/strong><\/a> developed within the <strong data-start=\"2213\" data-end=\"2239\">eHealth4Cancer project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2242\" data-end=\"2291\"><strong data-start=\"2242\" data-end=\"2291\">In summary, the main points highlighted were:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2292\" data-end=\"2747\">\n<li data-start=\"2292\" data-end=\"2438\">\n<p data-start=\"2294\" data-end=\"2438\"><strong data-start=\"2294\" data-end=\"2322\">A human-centred approach<\/strong> and the application of <strong data-start=\"2346\" data-end=\"2364\">good practices<\/strong> to ensure the <strong data-start=\"2379\" data-end=\"2414\">usability and social acceptance<\/strong> of digital solutions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2439\" data-end=\"2601\">\n<p data-start=\"2441\" data-end=\"2601\"><strong data-start=\"2441\" data-end=\"2472\">Strengthening collaboration<\/strong> between <strong data-start=\"2481\" data-end=\"2535\">healthcare professionals, researchers and citizens<\/strong> to develop <strong data-start=\"2547\" data-end=\"2598\">reliable and functional digital infrastructures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2602\" data-end=\"2747\">\n<p data-start=\"2604\" data-end=\"2747\">The <strong data-start=\"2608\" data-end=\"2651\">need for systematic scientific research<\/strong> to address challenges such as <strong data-start=\"2682\" data-end=\"2697\">skills gaps<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2699\" data-end=\"2717\">limited access<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2722\" data-end=\"2744\">data fragmentation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2749\" data-end=\"3035\">The event provided an <strong data-start=\"2771\" data-end=\"2834\">important opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange<\/strong>, promoting the <strong data-start=\"2850\" data-end=\"2918\">alignment of digital health infrastructures with citizens\u2019 needs<\/strong> and reinforcing <strong data-start=\"2935\" data-end=\"2951\">KAPA3\u2019s
