sm:ps-4.5 sm:pe-3.5\">\n<h3 data-start=\"216\" data-end=\"295\">What applies to oncology patients<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"297\" data-end=\"626\">With a new decision by the <strong>Ministry of Health (Government Gazette 5325\/B\/2025)<\/strong>, <em>stricter<\/em> rules are in effect for the repetition of diagnostic tests for EOPYY-insured patients, aiming to reduce costs. <strong data-start=\"497\" data-end=\"567\">However, oncology and hematology patients are exempt in many cases<\/strong>, ensuring continuous and uninterrupted medical monitoring.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"628\" data-end=\"645\">What changes<\/h4>\n<ul data-start=\"646\" data-end=\"1288\">\n<li data-start=\"646\" data-end=\"941\">\n<p data-start=\"648\" data-end=\"941\">For a series of <strong data-start=\"664\" data-end=\"696\">laboratory and imaging tests<\/strong> (hematology, biochemistry, hormone tests, tumor markers, ultrasounds, CT, MRI, etc.), it is explicitly stated:<br data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"810\" \/><strong data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"861\">\u201cOncology and hematology patients are exempt\u201d<\/strong>, allowing more frequent repetition when justified by the attending physician.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"942\" data-end=\"1122\">\n<p data-start=\"944\" data-end=\"1122\">For tests such as <strong data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"1012\">cancer markers, PET\/CT scans, and scintigraphy<\/strong>, the exemption is <strong data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1044\">automatic<\/strong> without time restrictions, as these are part of routine disease monitoring.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1288\">\n<p data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1288\">Oncology patients are also included in the new <strong data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1222\">\u201cRadio-pharmaceutical Reimbursement Procedure\u201d<\/strong>, covering nuclear medicine tests and ensuring full reimbursement.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"77\" data-end=\"492\">In summary, for oncology patients, the ability to repeat tests essentially does not change \u2014 on the contrary, they are legally protected, as the prescribed exemptions remain.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"77\" data-end=\"492\">However, the new framework introduces stricter controls on prescription and reimbursement, which may lead to delays or differences among diagnostic
